Elizabeth Robinson Studio
514 Main St
Rangely COLORADO

The renovated showroom in front of the studio.

BEFORE: Formerly known as the Beauty Bar

On May 28, 2004, my fiance' Joe Wiley and I closed on this 1940's 500 sq.ft. stucco building on Main Street in Rangely, CO.

Main Street in Rangely- a small town in Northwestern Colorado on the high desert plateau, in the heart of Canyon Pintado National Historic District and 20 miles from Dinosaur National monument.
The Wild West.

The Green River in Dinosaur National Monument

As you can probably tell
, the building needed a fair amount of work to turn it into a studio. The process of buying an abondoned building on commercial property has been interesting.

The interior of the building when we bought it, gutted by the previous owner.

A more recent picture of the inside, freshly painted.

All renovations required by the town building inspector must be completed before I can begin using the building to make my work.

The studio is almost done!
